EUROSLOT Series 300

Despite its fine, understated lines, the EUROSLOT 300 Series is a genuine allrounder among slotted screen facade claddings. It manages to combine tough material properties with a slender design and therefore offers a wide range of application options. For example, it is suitable for use as a large-scale facade cladding and as a cover for high-load walkways or ventilation shafts. Although the profile wires of the EUROSLOT 300 Series are just 3 mm thick and the supports as little as 2 mm, they are extremely strong and durable thanks to their high-quality stainless steel finish.

High-quality stainless steel

In the German-speaking region there are two generic VA steel designations for stainless (non-rusting) steel. The two most common are V2A and V4A.

V2A-Stainless Steel

(Alternative designations:
Material No. 1.4301, AISI 304 or X5CrNi18/10)

A stainless steel used frequently for everyday applications, e.g. for metal structures, vehicles and sinks, and that is also used in the foodstuff, pharmaceutical and cosmetic industries.

NOTE: V2A material should not be used in coastal regions (due to salt content in the air and sand drift), in conurbations (acid rain due to smog) or in swimming pools (high chlorine content in environment). Only V4A materials are suitable for use in these conditions.

V4A stainless steel

(Alternative designations:
Material No.  1.4404, AISI 316L or X2CrNiMo17-12-2)

Is similar to V2A stainless steel but with 2% molybdenum added. This makes the steel more resistant to corrosion in chloride-containing media. V4A stainless steel is used in salt water, swimming pools and the chemical industry.

Duplex stainless steel

Duplex stainless steel has a two-phase microstructure consisting of grains of ferritic and austenitic stainless steel. Therefore duplex stainless steel is twice as strong as regular austenitic or ferritic stainless steels and the toughness and ductility is significantly better than that of ferritic steel.

The high corrosion resistance makes duplex stainless steel the perfect choice for tough environments like sea sides.
