The EUROSLOT 560 Series is especially suitable wherever facade and cover gratings are constantly exposed to high loads. This applies in particular to outdoor use, above all in high-traffic, high-load public spaces such as walkways, here durability can only be guaranteed through the use of high-quality material and material processing. The EUROSLOT 560 Series meets exactly these requirements. Its striking outward appearance goes hand in hand with excellent load capacities and makes it ideal e.g. for use as a facade element or cover grille for floor vents even in high-traffic areas like airports.

High-quality stainless steel

In the German-speaking region there are two generic VA steel designations for stainless (non-rusting) steel. The two most common are V2A and V4A.

V2A-Stainless Steel

(Alternative designations:
Material No. 1.4301, AISI 304 or X5CrNi18/10)

A stainless steel used frequently for everyday applications, e.g. for metal structures, vehicles and sinks, and that is also used in the foodstuff, pharmaceutical and cosmetic industries.

NOTE: V2A material should not be used in coastal regions (due to salt content in the air and sand drift), in conurbations (acid rain due to smog) or in swimming pools (high chlorine content in environment). Only V4A materials are suitable for use in these conditions.

V4A stainless steel

(Alternative designations:
Material No.  1.4404, AISI 316L or X2CrNiMo17-12-2)

Is similar to V2A stainless steel but with 2% molybdenum added. This makes the steel more resistant to corrosion in chloride-containing media. V4A stainless steel is used in salt water, swimming pools and the chemical industry.

Duplex stainless steel

Duplex stainless steel has a two-phase microstructure consisting of grains of ferritic and austenitic stainless steel. Therefore duplex stainless steel is twice as strong as regular austenitic or ferritic stainless steels and the toughness and ductility is significantly better than that of ferritic steel.

The high corrosion resistance makes duplex stainless steel the perfect choice for tough environments like sea sides.
